This dual-wavelength system pairs a 755nm Alexandrite laser with a 1064nm Nd:YAG laser, so fine and coarse hair can both be treated safely and effectively.
It is one of the few devices proven to work on deeper skin tones with minimal risk of hyperpigmentation. Every treatment is performed by a licensed esthetician trained in laser physics, safety and skin histology.

- Taking photosensitizing medications, including Accutane within the last 6 months

- Gray, red, very light blonde or white hair, since the laser targets pigment

How many sessions will I need?
Most clients need 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Hair grows in cycles, and the laser works on hairs in the active growth phase, so a series catches every cycle.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe a quick snap, like a rubber band. Sessions are fast, and discomfort fades within minutes.
Is it safe for dark skin?
Yes. The 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength on the Cutera Excel HR is designed for deeper skin tones and is safe for Fitzpatrick types I through VI.
How should I prepare?
Shave the area 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid waxing, plucking and sun exposure for 4 weeks before treatment, and arrive with clean skin and no lotion or deodorant on the area.
Can I combine areas?
Yes. Book each area you want treated, or choose Full Body to treat any 6 areas in one 90-minute visit for $1,095.
